This is the live multiplayer lobby on Free Play is OK. No download and no sign-up required — open any board game, create a room, share the invite link, and you and a friend are playing on the same board in real time. Below you'll find public rooms that are live or waiting for a second player, so you can jump into an open seat or spectate a game in progress.
How to start a match with a friend
Open any board game that supports online play and choose “Create online room.” The site generates a private room and a shareable invite link.
Send the link (or the room ID) to a friend through any chat or messaging app. When they open it on their own device, they join as your opponent and the board unlocks so the match can begin.
There's no account to create and nothing to install. Rooms use WebSockets for real-time sync, so the moment you make a move it appears on your opponent's screen.
Board games you can play online
Games currently open for online multiplayer include chess, Chinese chess (Xiangqi), Gomoku, Connect6, Go, Shogi, Reversi, checkers, Chinese checkers, Ludo, backgammon, dots and boxes, mancala, animal chess, army chess and tic-tac-toe.
Every one of them also supports single-player vs. AI and same-screen two-player. Online play simply adds the option to face a friend anywhere in real time. To switch games, head back to that game's page and open a new room.
Joining a room and spectating
If a friend sent you a room ID, type it into the box at the top of this page to enter directly.
The room list below refreshes automatically: rooms marked “LIVE” are matches in progress that you can watch, while “Waiting” rooms still need a second player and let you take the open seat. Filter by game and status to quickly find the match you want.
No sign-up, no download, privacy-friendly
Every match runs in your browser. There's no client to download and no account to register. Your nickname and host status are stored only in your own browser.
To keep matches friendly, room chat is limited to quick phrases and emoji reactions, avoiding harassment or unwanted content. Rooms close automatically after a long period of inactivity to free up resources.
